Why is the business located in LqP County? Madison is my hometown and I love the “small town” feel of the area. I was also impressed by the efforts of the Madison Business Development Corporation and the Lqp EDA to promote new businesses to this area.

What made you decide to pursue this? My interest in photography, and my personal goal of owning and operating my own business.

What products/services do you offer? “In studio” or “on location” Portrait Photography for infants, toddlers, teens, and families. I also offer wedding photography, photo restoration, passports, digital books and albums, VHS transfer to DVD, and more!

How many staff do you have? Just myself

Days & Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or by appointment

Future Plans for the business: I plan to offer custom framing at my studio, and will continue to find new and exciting techniques in the photography line.

PCs for Kids: Watch them Online

Pioneer TV will be featuring our local project PCs for Kids that brought refurbished computers to home that would not otherwise have them. It will air Thursday, September 20 at Noon. If you miss the broadcasts, you can watch it any time after Sep. 20  online at www.pioneer.org under “local productions.”

Why is the business located in LqP County? I enjoy working and giving back to the community that I live in.

What made you decide to pursue this? Photography has been a life long love affair. I felt fine art and lifestyle portraiture are services that, when done will, are in high demand.

What products/services do you offer? Slant Lab specializes in lifestyle photography of children and adults. I also organize and produce fine art series that are distributed online.

Future Plans for the business: Our portraiture business will remain our core focus, but as this year has indicated fine art distribution and production will be expanding in the future.

Why is the business located inLqPCounty?  We sell and service multi-peril crop insurance and hail insurance for farmers and landowners in Lac quiParleCountyand surrounding counties.

What made you decide to pursue this?  My father, Floyd Haugen, was an adjustor and when the opportunity came up to purchase this agency he did.  He needed help and so that is how I started.

What products/services do you offer?  MPCI and crop hail insurance

How many staff do you have?  3 agents and 1 secretary

Days & Hours of Operation:  Monday – Friday – 8:30AM to 4:30PM -  shorter hours during less busy times

Future Plans for the business:  Rules and regulations are determined by the Federal Government and as long as they continue to support MPCI we will be doing business for this area.

Other information you would like to share:  Farming is my first love but I do enjoy visiting with the farmers as they come into our office.
