About LqP EDA
The mission of the Lac qui Parle County Economic Development Authority is to be the catalyst for economic growth, job creation and improving the quality of life in Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota.
History of LqP EDA
In June 2004, all mayors from within Lac qui Parle County were called to a meeting for discussion on how we could work together to enhance economic development within our county. A proposal was presented to the Lac qui Parle County Commissioners to appoint a committee to study the formation of a countywide Economic Development Authority (EDA). This committee was formed and within 90 day returned a recommendation to form a countywide EDA. The Lac qui Parle County Commissioners approved this recommendation and the organization and board were appointed in October 2004.
