The Guest House was originally the Nazarene Church which was built in its current location prior to 1927. When the congregation was down to one living member and five people who continued to attend services but were not members, a For Sale Sign appeared in the front yard. The final services were held the Sunday before it went up for sale.

The Guest Cottage was a private home and I asked the owner to talk to me first if he ever wanted to sell, thinking that would be quite some time down the road. By December 2003 The Cottage completed “My Little Corner of the World”. There is a special peace and solace at The Guest House & Cottage.

I was driving down Main Street one day in May 2003 and saw that For Sale Sign for the first time in front of a church. I had no idea why but I knew I needed a safe port in the storm. I knew that I would one day call this church ‘home’. I went directly to the realtor and then to the bank that day. Within a week the great renovations began. There was an abundance of work that went into making The Guest House what it is today.
